The Adventures of Dennis by Victor Dragunsky translated by Fainna Glagoleva

                                                                              (I don't own these pictures)

Somebody is Feeling very lucky, been able to read this book (guess what that somebody is me O:) ). I am a big, A HUGE as huge can be a fan of children's books. I found this book when one of my colleague's reading it in the office. (I know it's not a good habit :-|) Thankful to that not so good habit I found this treasure.

You have to trust me when I say this book is almost wonderful as Roald Dahl's books (my favorites!) or like any other soviet books or as much as any other children books.

"The Adventures of Dennis" published by Progress Publishers in Moscow in 1981. This book is about a Seven-and-a-half year old boy. And please don't get confused with "Dennis the menace" This is not about about a kid who troubles his neighbors, but a boy with a 7 1/2 year old's thoughts, troubles, intelligence and playfulness.(Don't get me wrong, Dennis the menace also interesting)

This is a book, the kind of you should grow up with. My mother used to buy us all these lovely books(but we couldn't find this one in the old shelves). Soviet Translations! She is a rock. I'm ever so in debt to her.

If you haven't read this yet, I think you should get a copy now. For the e-reader's I can suggest this link "The "Adventures of Dennis". I hope you'll find it interesting as I did.

Have a happy time reading!
